Sovereign Hey’di Antisulphate Advanced Salt Neutralising Treatment for Damp & Salt‑Affected Masonry

Advanced Salt Neutralising Treatment for Damp & Salt‑Affected Masonry

A clear, water-based pre-treatment specifically designed to neutralise soluble salts (e.g. sulphates, chlorides, nitrates) in porous masonry. Essential for basement tanking, flood remediation, chimney repairs, rising-damp projects, and any situation where salt contamination could compromise coatings or tanking systems.

Key Benefits

  • Chemically stabilises hygroscopic salts, converting them into insoluble compounds to prevent efflorescence and render failure.
  • Deep-penetrating liquid reaches deep into brick, stone, or concrete for effective substrate stabilisation.
  • Stops damp patch recurrence, salt staining, and coating blow-off from rising salts.
  • Compatible as a primer with cementitious tanking slurries, renders, breathable coatings, and mineral finishes.

Product Details

  • Form: Clear, water-like liquid containing metal fluorosilicates
  • Pack Sizes: 5 kg & 10 kg.
  • Coverage: Approx. 17.5–22.5 m² per 5 kg two-coat system (dependent on porosity).
  • Shelf Life: 12 months unopened; store in cool conditions (+5 °C to +30 °C).

How to Use

  1. Remove all salt-damaged plaster, render, coatings until bare porous substrate is exposed.
  2. First coat (1:1 dilution with water) — apply via brush or coarse garden sprayer until surface saturation.
  3. Allow to dry for 6–18 hours, depending on temperatures.
  4. Second coat neat — reapply until saturation.
  5. Once fully dry, proceed with tanking, rendering, or decorating — no additional wait time required.

Usage Guidelines & Limitations

  • Only for clean, bare, porous masonry. Not suitable for gypsum plaster, bituminous coatings, painted or sealed surfaces.
  • Can be applied indoors with adequate ventilation — low odour, water-based.
  • Not a permanent finish—must be followed by waterproofing, rendering, or coatings.
  • Avoid use outside +5 °C to +30 °C to ensure proper absorption and reaction.

Ideal For

  • Basement waterproofing (Hey’di K11 systems)
  • Chimney breast refurbishment
  • Flood-damage remediation
  • Rising damp salt stabilisation
  • Any porous masonry prior to coating application
